Victim uses tracking device to catch thief

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- A man is behind bars after a robbery victim tracked on of his stolen electronic devices to the suspect’s location.

This happened in the area of 1300 South 1000 East Thursday.

Police say the suspect, Clem D. Martinez, 40, ran from officers and K9 units upon being tracked, but was located a short time later.

He has been booked into Salt Lake County jail on charges of burglary, theft, fail to stop for a police officer, and false information to a police officer.
