Victim identified in fatal Logan traffic accident

UPDATE: Logan Police have identified the victim in yesterday’s fatal traffic accident as 25-year-old Luis A. Vital of Wendell, Idaho. The condition of the other people injured is still unknown at this time.


LOGAN, Utah (News4Utah) – At least one person is dead and four injured after a traffic accident in Logan on Saturday.

According to Logan police, the accident occurred just after 4 p.m. at the intersection of 1400 North and 200 East.

A Chevy Traverse was traveling east on 1400 North. A Mini Cooper that was at the intersection was waiting to turn left.

When the light at the intersection turned yellow, the Mini Cooper started to turn left, but the Chevy did not slow down and T-Boned the smaller Mini.

The 25-year-old male driver of the Chevy was taken to the hospital where he later died. A woman and three children who were in the accident were taken to the hospital – their condition remains unknown. 

The accident is still under investigation.
