Utah’s ‘First Lad’ Myron Walker dies at 90

SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- Utah’s “First Lad” Myron Walker died, July 30, 2018.

He was the husband of Utah’s first female Governor Olene Walker. He served the role as “First Lad” proudly from 2003 until 2005.

Born July 13, 1928, he married Governor Walker on March 25, 1954. They had seven children, 25 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren.

Governor Walker passed away at the age of 85 on November 28, 2015.

A viewing will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1 pm at the Cottonwood 4th Ward, 5565 Neighbor Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84117.
