MALAD, Idaho (ABC4 Utah) – $700 million. That’s how much someone could win Wednesday night. It’s the Powerball jackpot.
It’s the second largest jackpot of any lottery game in North America.
Utah doesn’t sell them, but many Utahns are getting theirs in Malad, Idaho. Malad is the closet pit stop for Utahns to get a Powerball ticket and they have been showing up in droves to snag one before the drawing.
The line was wrapped around the store all day Wednesday and Manager of KJ’s Super Store said ti’s the longest it’s been during this round of the Powerball.
The $700 million jackpot would translate to about $450 million in your pocket. The odds of matching all six numbers are only one in 292.2 million, but people are still eager to try.

If there are no winners in Wednesday night’s drawing, the jackpot will jump to $1 billion, according to an official with DC Lottery.
