SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – This time of year can be tough on families who are already struggling to make ends meet.
The Crossroads Urban Center stepped in Saturday to help out all who needed help fixing Christmas dinner. Everything from turkey and potatoes to the fruit and pie for dessert.
Organizers say the free food is necessary for these families. Crossroads Urban Center director, Glenn Bailey says “People who are on fixed incomes or are struggling to get by often want to celebrate the Holidays just like everybody else but things are really, really tight for them.”
Coats, gloves and other items were on hand at the event to help families through the season. The event was made possible by donations from the Utah Food Bank and others.
