SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – A Utah-based company is recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
SBA Administrator Linda McMahon toured Manuel’s Fine Foods in Woods Cross Wednesday afternoon.
The multi-generational Latino-owned business has been around since 1938. They manufacture tortillas and tortilla chips sold nationally under the labels Don Julio and Clover Club.
“Small business is absolutely the engine of our economy because the more small businesses that are created, the more people that are hired, the more people go to work, and boy, Salt Lake City and Utah are perfect examples of that. You have low unemployment rate you have great graduation rates, all of it goes together and you have a very successful climate here,” said McMahon.
Manuel’s Fine Foods has been approved for an SBA 504 Loan, so they can expand their facilities.
