Utah businesses support workers impacted by government shutdown

SALT LAKE COUNTY (ABC4 News) – Several Utah organizations and businesses are trying to lighten the burden for furloughed federal employees during the current government shutdown. 

The following places are offering services for the duration of the shutdown: 

Utah’s Hogle Zoo: Federal employees can visit zoo free of charge

Great Harvest Bread Co.: Donates bread to federal employees

Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum: Free admission for federal workers and their families

RC Willey: Allowing federal employees to postpone payments on their credit accounts

Eye Care 4 Kids: Clinic offering free eye care and glasses for those who cannot afford them due to the shutdown

Catholic Community Services: Opened doors of its food pantry to federal workers
