Utah Arts Festival returns for its 42nd year

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah)- The Utah Arts Festival is gearing up for the state’s largest outdoor arts event!

The festival features more than 160 visual artists and 100 performing art groups.

 It draws about 80,000 people every June to celebrate the event.

In its 42nd year, the Utah Arts Festival welcomes Bandaloop, an internationally renowned dance company.

 The festival also includes seven venues of the world, national and local musicians and performers.

“This year we are presenting our largest artist marketplace with 175 artist, 58 of those are making their art festival debut so they have never been seen before and that’s one third of our entire artist marketplace, brand new to our festival,” said Ashely Babbitt, public relations director for the Utah Arts Festival.

The Utah Arts Festival is set to run today till June 24th from noon to 11 p.m. at Library Square. Bandaloop will perform each night during the festival.
