SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Aaron De Jesus considers himself a local boy, but to most people he’s known for being a Jersey Boy.
De Jesus, from Provo, is the lead role of the hit Broadway production “Jersey Boys.”
He plays Frankie Valli — and he’s been with the show for roughly 6 1/2 years. Jersey Boys plays at the Eccles Theater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“I’m excited about my family being here, my friends,” said De Jesus.
“The show is fantastic — it’s truly one of the best shows I’ve ever been a part of,” he added.
Jersey Boys follows Valli through much of his life — and it includes ups and downs of his journey, with many hit songs that made him famous.
“It’s all songs we all know. And many times we don’t realize we knew these songs,” said De Jesus.
De Jesus says he’s excited to perform before friends, family and mentors this weekend.
“There will probably be a little glint in my eye this weekend. There are some emotional moments in the show, and they will probably get a little more emotional, knowing that people are there to support me.”
