BOX ELDER COUNTY (News4Utah) – Authorities in Utah arrested two women in the connection with the death of two Idaho babies.

Utah Highway Patrol said around noon on Thursday, troopers were notified Cache County detectives had found Haley Miller and Sylvia Tapia both wanted for questioning in a Twin Falls, Idaho investigation.

The women had been previously flagged by Utah’s Statewide Information & Analysis Center (SIAC). SIAC issued a message for Utah law enforcement officers to attempt to locate Miller and Tapia.

Cache County detectives found and were following the women through Sardine Canyon in an unmarked car.

Troopers responded to 1100 South Main in Brigham City to assist. As the suspects turned south on SR-89 in Perry, the detectives and troopers set up a “high risk” stop. After which, the suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Miller and Tapia were booked into the Box Elder County Jail on a methamphetamine trafficking warrant and are awaiting extradition back to Idaho where they will also be questioned regarding the October 12th suspicious death of two infant twin boys.
