GRAND COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- Two people managed to escape with non-life threatening injuries after the plane they were in crashed near Canyonlands Airport.
It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials say the plane was completely destroyed, but the pilot and passenger inside made it out.
The pair left the airport just before 7:45 p.m. Sudden shifts in wind and weather conditions are believed to have contributed to the accident.
FAA and NTSB were notified of the accident and the accident is still under investigation.
