WENDOVER, Nev. (News4Utah) One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 just across the Utah-Nevada border.

Nevada Highway Patrol said a 2007 Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on I-80 when for unknown reasons, the SUV drifted off the left side of the roadway.

The driver abruptly overcorrected to the right causing the vehicle to roll several times on the highway.

Both occupants of the SUV, a man, and a woman, were ejected when it overturned. Troopers said they were not wearing seatbelts.

Lee Carmack, 33, of Everett Washing died at the scene. The 21-year-old female victim was seriously injured and flown to the University of Utah Hospital.

Nevada Highway Patrol said it is still investigating who was driving at the time of the crash.
