WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC4 News) Multiple agencies responded to an incident at Granger High School Friday night.

West Valley City police confirmed officers responded to the school at 3580 South 3600 West after a fight broke out after the school’s basketball game.

Granite School District spokesperson Ben Horsely said sometime following the game two female students began to fight. The fight was broken up by a Granite District resource officer.

Two male suspects “who appeared to be juveniles” began to “harass” the officer and “became aggressive,” according to Horsely.

The officer felt threatened and called for backup, and both male suspects were taken into custody. Officials said they do not attend Granger High School.

Medical personnel were called, but no injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation by Granite District police. West Valley City and Unified Police Departments both responded to the incident as backup.

Editor’s Note: Police and school officials originally reported four suspects were taken into custody.
