SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- Classrooms will be empty for the rest of the week across the state as students and teachers enjoy Fall Break.
As result, the airport is expecting an extra 28,000 passengers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you’re traveling to or from Salt Lake International Airport, you’ll want to be prepared.
SLC Airport officials say passengers should get the airport two hours before their flight takes off to allow plenty of time to park, check your baggage, and get through security.
To help speed up the process, print or upload your boarding pass before you get to the airport.
If you’re planning on parking at the airport, officials suggest parking in the economy lot because they expect the short-term parking garage to fill up quickly. If you do this, leave extra time for the shuttle.
Finally, make sure you’re prepared to navigate security. Visit tsa.gov/travel/travel-tips to make sure the items you are bringing with you through security are allowed.
