Winter is only just beginning and that means Utah drivers will need to take their time getting to their destinations
On Thursday troopers responded to 266 crashes, most of which were due to people driving too fast for conditions or following too closely.
“We’ll say it again…please slow down and increase your following distance! It is imperative to do so, especially in winter driving conditions,” a tweet from the Utah Highway Patrol stated Friday morning.
Wet roads and freezing temperatures create a thin coating of black ice which becomes very difficult to see at night. Use extreme caution while driving & allow for extra time.
