TOOELE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A 3-year-old boy was injured after he fell from a second story window Friday morning.

Tooele County Sheriff’s Office said the boy fell from a window of a home on South Wheatridge Drive in Stansbury Park around 10:30 a.m.

It is believed the boy was looking at a dog when he pushed on the screen on the window above the garage before falling to the concrete below.

Lt. Eli Wayman said the boy’s mother and a neighbor witnessed the fall and rushed the child to Mountain West Medical in Tooele.

On their way, they were pulled over for speeding by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper. The trooper escorted them to the hospital and called for a helicopter. The boy was airlifted from the hospital in Tooele to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.
