Trio arrested on Utah/Arizona border for drug, stolen weapon possession

SOUTHERN UTAH (ABC4 News)- Three people are behind bars after a traffic stop when state troopers found stolen weapons and drugs.

Troopers arrested Marquez Clayton, Maddie Dickerson, and Keontel Henderson. They’re from Missouri and Iowa.

The trio was stopped Tuesday night while they were driving south on I-15, just two miles from the Utah/Arizona border.

While talking with the driver, the trooper noticed the smell of marijuana.

When the trooper searched the car, he found two handguns, which came up as stolen in a criminal database. He also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Clayton was charged with theft of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a restricted person and misdemeanor drug possession.

Dickerson was charged with felony theft of a firearm.

Henderson was arrested for DUI.
