MAGNA, Utah (ABC4 News) A tipped semi-closed I-80 westbound lanes near SR-202 early Thursday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol troopers said the driver was in the eastbound lanes when he swerved to miss an animal before 3:00 a.m.
The reaction caused the semi to tip over the concrete median and land across all westbound lanes. It was carrying car parts which scattered over the road.
The un-named driver from Utah was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and released.
Around 5:00 a.m., two tow trucks worked to get the semi right-side up before it could be removed.
The closure lasted for several hours and impacted the early morning commute.
