BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC4) – Authorities have identified the three people killed in a Davis County plane crash.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, the Davis County Sheriff’s Office say they were notified of a plane crash on Sessions Mountain east of Bountiful. Deputies and the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue began searching the area for the downed plane. The Utah Department of Public Safety’s Star 9 helicopter was called in to help search.
Using air surveillance, crews were able to find the crash site around 10:30 p.m.
At around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, Search and Rescue found the downed Cessna 182 in a very remote part of Session Mountain, the Sheriff’s Office says.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims as 28-year-old J. Parker Christensen of Ogden, the pilot, and passengers Tyson Peterson and his wife, Kallie Edwards Peterson, both 24-years-old and from Logan.
Federal authorities are now investigating the crash.

Initial reports say the single-engine aircraft had a pilot and two passengers. All three have died but their identities have not yet been released.
The crash site and surrounding areas have been secured, according to authorities. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are now investigating the crash.

BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC4) – Three people are dead after a plane crashed in Davis County.
The Davis County Sheriff’s Office tells ABC4 the crash happened east of Bountiful in a remote area in the mountains between 6:30 and 7 Sunday night.
Authorities say three people were killed when the Cessna plane crashed.
No additional details are available at this time. ABC4 will update this story as information becomes available.
This crash comes two months after a plane crashed in Tooele County, killing a woman and her granddaughter. That crash sparked the Morgan Canyon Fire.
In late June, a man was killed after his plane crashed through the roof of a North Logan home.
