SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Utah’s Pioneer Day kicked off in fashion with the annual Pioneer Day Parade.

Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Salt Lake City to catch a glimpse of the floats, bands, clowns and performers.

“I’m having a blast,” said little Ethan Schaff.

“Why are you having a blast?” asked News4Utah’s Brittany Johnson.

“Because it’s so fun!” replied Schaff.

Pioneer Day is full of celebrations and there’s always something for everyone to enjoy.

“I love the fireworks and the parades,” said Maddie Davis, who attended the parade with her family and friends.

“Hanging out with friends, partying and dancing. “You gotta have the dancing right?” asked Nathan Beard, who followed that up with a back flip.

“I like watching the floats,” said Joaquin Munoz.
