Thousands enjoy West Jordan Western Stampede parade

WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Thousands turned out for the 60th annual West Jordan Stampede, the city’s Independence Day parade. 
More than 90 groups participated in the parade, including local schools, dance teams and musicians.

The theme for the 2017 parade was “Imagine West Jordan.” 
Many onlookers held their spots for hours before the parade began, some tying down beach chairs in order to get the best view.

West Jordan will also hold its annual rodeo today af West Jordan arena after the parade. Later, a fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
