4/19/2018 UTAH (News4Utah) – What is the future of medical marijuana in Utah? Public meetings will be held today to debate the cannabis and medical marijuana issue here in the state.
Jack Wilbur with the Utah Department of Agriculture explained what will be going on in these meetings.
“There are three different laws created for the three different types of marijuana,” each having their own set of rules. Wilbur says they are in the planning stages of how they are going to grow, process and enforce marijuana in the state. He says the goal of the meetings are to get industry and public input as they get the rules written.
Today’s meetings will be held at the State Office Building next to the Capitol in the auditorium on the first floor.
- The Cultivation of Industrial Hemp meeting starts at 8:30 a.m.
- The Cannabidiol Oil meeting at 11:00 a.m.
- The Medical Marijuana meeting at 1:00 p.m.
