Teenage hiker injured during fall in Weber County

Local News

WEBER COUNTY (ABC4 News) A hiker was rescued in Weber County Thursday evening.

Weber Fire District said a 14-year-old boy was hiking in Spring Canyon when he fell about 15 to 20 feet.

Officials said he suffered injuries to his side, hip, and neck.

The teen fell in an area that was not easily accessible by crews, so Life Flight was called to hoist him out of the canyon.

The teen was flown to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden with non-life-threatening injuries.
