Teenage boy shot in Salt Lake City, suspect arrested

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A teenage boy was shot multiple times in what police are saying was a robbery by another teen Saturday night in Salt Lake City. 

According to Salt Lake City Police Lt Jennifer Diederich, the incident happened at 8:12 p.m. near 1069 West and 800 North in Salt Lake City. Police say the boy was shot while sitting in a car during an argument with another teen boy he knew. 

The teen who was shot was taken to the hospital but Diederich said his injuries are not life-threatening.

Diederich said the incident is being investigated as a robbery and a juvenile male has since been arrested and booked into a detention center. His name is not being released.
