Teen killed after hitting back of semi on slushy road identified

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 Utah)- A teen driver who was killed Friday after losing control of his vehicle and hitting the back of a semi has been identified. 

Utah Highway Patrol said it happened around 10 a.m. on I-84 when 17-year-old Hyrum Rasmussen of Taylor lost control on the slushy road and slid sideways, impacting the rear of a semi trailer that had just pulled over into the emergency lane. 

Troopers said Rasmussen was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene from his injuries.
