SANDY (ABC4 News) – A teenager was hospitalized after he fell from a Ferris wheel inside a sporting goods store on Tuesday afternoon.
Police and medical personnel were dispatched to a fall at Scheels at 11282 State St. in Sandy around 3 p.m.
When they arrived, they found a 14-year-old boy with autism had fallen from the Ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Police weren’t sure exactly how far he’d fallen.
The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition. According to police, he was on the ride with his father when he fell.
