Teen critically injured in Eagle Mountain autoped

EAGLE MOUNTAIN (News4Utah) – A teenage boy is in the hospital after being struck by a SUV in Eagle Mountain.

Sergeant Tyler Collet with the Utah County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. this afternoon. Two 16-year-old males were riding their BMX bikes near the intersection of Pony Express Parkway and Geronimo Drive.

The first male was able to cross the street safely but the second male did not see the SUV and was struck. The teenager was life-flighted to Primary Childrens Hospital in critical condition.

The road was closed for several hours as crews investigated but the road has been reopened.
