Survivor of the Summit pays tribute to those who have been diagnosed with cancer

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Hundreds of people gathered to pay tribute to those who have been diagnosed with cancer for the Survivor of the Summit hike at Snowbird Saturday.

The 2018 summit marks the 22nd year of the event benefiting the Cancer Wellness House.  

Tribute flags honor those affected by cancer, survivors and those who have passed away. Tribute flags are made available for viewing as hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and lift riders meet together at the summit to participate in a Celebration of Life ceremony.

The Celebration of Life Ceremony features inspirational speakers and live entertainment with hundreds of flags flying on the mountain side. These flags are truly the heartbeat of this event and carry beautiful heartfelt messages for all to see.
