Local kids have found a way to get into the spirit of giving.
This week around 50 students and their parents from The American Preparatory Academy schools joined Globus Relief to make hygiene supply kits for those in need.
The students have been working hard lately to gather supplies for the kits that will be sent around the world. Leaders at Globus Relief say the kits will be used for some local projects helping refugees and those who are homeless.
Melissa Bernal helped with the donation drive. She says she is glad the APA community is coming together for this cause. “We understand that there is a lot of children in the world that don’t have the same benefits as we do and hygiene is a huge problem. It can cause diseases, fatal diseases, that really leads to unwanted deaths.”
