DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The Duchesne Couty Sheriff’s Department has temporarily closed Strawberry River Road one-half mile west of Camelot Resort due to spring runoff.

The closure includes access to Timber Canyon and the closure is expected to last until crews are able to assess and mitigate damage.

The area is in the same spot that was impacted by the Dollar Ridge Fire and two flooding events in 2018.

The county reminds the public not to travel in the area and for the safety of the public of first responders and work crews who continue to work to reopen the stretch of road.
