Speed limit set to increase on some highways in Nevada

Local News

ELKO, Nev. (ABC4 News)  The Nevada Highway Patrol wants to warn drivers about a change to speed limits in certain parts of the state. On certain stretches of highway, the speed limit will increase from 75mph to 80mph.

The Nevada Highway Patrol say it’s a good change, but they will be focusing a lot of attention on strictly enforcing the new 80mph limit.

NHP is also warning drivers to be extra cautious as other drivers may not be following the speed limit or rules of the road.
