South Jordan police looking for three suspects in 7-Eleven robbery

Local News

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Three suspects are on the run after a robbery at a South Jordan 7-Eleven on Wednesday morning.

South Jordan police say that around 3:30 a.m., three men walked into the store at 10420 South 4000 West. Detectives say two of the men started arguing with the clerk and that the third man went behind the counter to steal some electronic cigarettes.

Police say at that time the clerk shifted his attention to that man and he ended up being assaulted, getting punched in the face several times. Officials on scene say the clerk is expected to be okay.

Detectives say the three men left the store and that a K9 team was called in to search for them. The search dogs soon lost track of the suspects leading police to believe they had a car parked on the street and have since left the area.

At this time, police say they are looking for two African American males and one Caucasian male. They say one of the men was carrying a backpack with them. Detectives say they are waiting to get surveillance video of the robbery to get a better description of the suspects.

This is a developing news story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
