Son hosts food truck roundup to raise money for mom with terminal cancer

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (News4Utah) – Zack Nilson a 21-year-old Salt Lake City native hosted a food truck roundup at Thirst Drinks in downtown SLC Saturday evening in an effort to raise money for his mother who was diagnosed with terminal cancer three weeks ago.

The event was held at Thirst Drinks located on 38 East 1300 South. Food trucks and live music were enjoyed by community members showing support to the Nilson family.

Zack Nilson’s mother, Laura Nilson, was diagnosed with terminal cancer three weeks ago. Laura will undergo heavy treatment and with growing medical bills Zack organized a food truck roundup event where proceeds from the night will go directly to the Nilson family to help cover medical expenses.
