Social media helps Layton police identify family of man hit,killed by car last month

UPDATE: Shortly after the police department reached out for help, officers say they were able to connect the dots and find his family.


LAYTON (ABC4 News)- Police in Layton are looking for family of a man hit and killed by a car back in December.

Officials say 63-year-old David Begay was transient at the time of his death.

He died after a car hit him around 10:45 p.m. in the area of 450 North Main Street on December 18, 2018.

Begay was the second man to die that night after a car hit them. Earlier that day 34-year-old Marcus McGaha was hit and killed in the area of 1650 North Hill Field Road.
