SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News)- Police in Salt Lake City are investigating after a man’s body was found Wednesday morning.
Investigators say someone walking by noticed the body around 1500 West North Temple.
Police say the victim is a man in his 40’s.
“I see him laying there and his eyes were wide open. Like, frozen,” said Garrett Mullis, who found the man on the sidewalk Wednesday morning.
“It’s bad. It’s bad,” said Mullis.
Police aren’t sure how the man died.
“It appears the body has been here for quite some time, probably since sometime last night,” said Sgt. Brandon Shearer with Salt Lake City Police.
“There’s no obvious signs of trauma on the body. So, any time we have a body, and we’re not sure what occured, our homicide detectives look into it, to make sure nothing suspicious occured,” added Shearer.
The man hasn’t been publicly identified as next of kin are notified, according to police, and the cause of death will be released after an autopsy is conducted.
