The mayor of Utah’s capital city and others participated in “Bike to Work Day” on Thursday.
Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski pedaled to work with public and city employees. This is something she’s done every year since taking office back in 2016.
This morning we cruised over the new $7M Jordan River Trail Bridge. At 11AM, we will be back to kick-off a new trail safety program & talk about my proposal to renovate Fisher Carriage House into a nature center. This area will become an anchor for the Jordan River Trail! pic.twitter.com/B4rNEYkBkf— Mayor J. Biskupski (@slcmayor) May 16, 2019
This year, the ride began at the northwest recreation center and ran primarily along the Jordan River Trail.
Mayor Biskupski says Salt Lake City is a bike-friendly city and says there will be more bike lanes as roads are repaired this summer.
