The Salt Lake City International Airport is honoring the volunteers in the Airport Ambassadors Program as part of National Volunteer Week.
A luncheon will be held to recognize the volunteers on Thursday, April 11th.
The recently-launched Airport Ambassadors program assists passengers in a number of ways. They direct passengers to their gates or baggage claim area, answer questions about ground transportation, report security violations or medical emergencies, and answer questions about restaurant and shopping options.
The airport is looking to expand the roster of its volunteers as construction wraps up on the new parts of the airport.
