Shots fired during armed robbery at 7-Eleven, police searching for suspects

Local News

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – Police are searching for two men who they say fired their gun twice during an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven, 3990 West 4700 South just before 1 o’clock.

Police said two black men walked into the convenience store and demanded money. They confirm one of the men pointed a gun at the clerk then fired one shot into the ceiling out of what police say might have been frustration over not getting more money.

Police said another shot was fired outside of the store as the suspects ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, a case of beer and a pack of cigarettes.

According to police, one suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket, the other suspect wore a blue and red jacket. Both men had their hoods on over their heads.

Officers and K-9s searched the area but have not yet found the suspects.
