Sheriff believes triple murder suspect may be dead

CALDWELL, Idaho (News4Utah) Investigators have released new information on a murder mystery in Caldwell, Idaho.

Six months after three Utah women were found dead, the sheriff in charge fears the suspect may be dead too. Cheryl Baker, 56, Nadja Medley, 48, and Payton Medley, 14, were all found dead on a property in Idaho.

It’s owned by Cheryl Baker’s husband Gerald Mike Bullinger. Bullinger hasn’t been seen or heard from since the crime happened and his car was eventually found in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.

While the sheriff thinks Bullinger is dead, without a body, the investigation must continue.

“My belief is that he’s probably out there and that he took his own life,” said Sheriff Kieran Donahue with Canyon County, Idaho.

“Is there a chance that Mr. Bullinger left that car and then deliberately was able to get access to get out of the area, perhaps out of the country? All of those possibilities are open. They truly are.” Bullinger lived in the Ogden area and had strong ties there. If you know where he might be, call the Canyon County Idaho Sheriff’s Office.
