SALT LAKE CITY ,Utah (ABC4 Utah) Salt Lake City School District Board of Education unanimously approved the sanctioning of lacrosse at the high school level for the 2019-20 school year.
A recent survey conducted in October of Salt Lake City School District students in grades 8-11 showed great interest from male and female students for sanctioning the sport.

Our Board recognizes the importance of extracurricular and athletic endeavors to a student’s overall educational experience. Our students and families have expressed their great interest in lacrosse, and we as a Board are excited to offer programs that cater to the unique interests and abilities of our diverse student body, “ Board President Heather Bennett.
The school district will offer JV and Varsity teams for both boys and girls at East, West, and Highland High Schools.
