SANDY, Utah (ABC4) – The Sandy Police Department is offering some tips to make sure your car is always there when you head out to your driveway in the morning.

Sandy PD posted a brief video offering some tips to help protect yourself from car theft:

  • Never leave your vehicle running while unattended.
  • Never leave your keys in the vehicle or ignition.
  • Protect your vehicle by using an antitheft system or device.
  • Lock all doors and windows.
  • Park in well-lit areas or a secured garage.
