SANDY, Utah (ABC4 news) – The Sandy City Fire Department sparked interest in a firefighting career by showing some young adults what the job is really like on Saturday.
The event was open to young adults aged 15-20-years-old who would like to learn what it takes to start a career as a firefighter.
Attendees got to perform an agility test, try on gear and use real firefighting equipment during Sandy’s Career Day at the city’s training tower.
