SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News)- Russell M. Nelson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said the Salt Lake City Temple will close on December 29th for renovations.
The renovations are expected to last four years.
Nelson said the renovation will include a significant seismic upgrade to help the building withstand a large earthquake.
They will also be replacing the historic building’s aging mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
