SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 News) – The Salt Lake County Health Department is accepting nominations for its 2nd Annual Air Quality Ally Awards.
The awards are designed to recognize individuals, businesses, and school for efforts or advocacy to improve air quality throughout the county.
Salt Lake County says the award was established last year at the recommendation of a chair member to recognize and commemorate meaningful impacts to address bad air in the community.
“Air quality is a year-round issue in Salt Lake County,” said Gary Edwards, executive director of SLCoHD, in a press release. “This is an opportunity to thank those who are doing things that make a real difference in our air quality, and to highlight those things so others might also be motivated to do the same.”
