SALT LAKE CITY (News4Utah)- Police in Salt Lake City are reminding the public to be careful with leaving items in the car after they responded to a number of car prowls during Thursday night’s Jazz game.

They say several cars were broken into in the area surrounding the Vivint Smart Home Arena. Hundred of dollars worth of property were stolen.

Make sure to leave items like purses and wallets, laptop bags, backpacks, cell phones, loose change, school books, shopping bags etc. out of view. Police also recommend keeping a record of every item with a serial number.
