SYRACUSE, Utah (News4Utah) – A reward is being offered after vandals heavily damaged a corn maze by joyriding in their equipment on opening night in Syracuse.

In a post on their Facebook page, Black Island Farms Corn Maze and Harvest Festival is asking for the publics help in identifying anyone responsible for the damage.

The incident happened Friday night after the corn maze closed for the evening. The suspects stole some of the equipment and took it for a “joyride” around the farm and caused significant damage.

The front end of their cow train was smashed along with their big straw slide being torn and a decent amount of our corn being knocked down.

“We were able to repair the slide and cow train and they are both up and running,” said the post. “The corn maze is open and luckily most of the damage is at the entrance and won’t ruin our customers experience.”

No one was injured in this incident.

If anyone has any information or tips that can help identify the person or persons responsible they are offering a $500 cash reward. You can contact them on Facebook, email them at farmer@blackislandfarms.com or call us at 801-825-6236.

You can also contact the Syracuse police Department 801-825-4400.
