PARK CITY (News4Utah) – Hundreds of women braved the snow in Park City this morning for this year’s Respect Rally.
The women gathered to celebrate their successes and triumphs over the last year and to inspire the spirit of activism that has been awakened nationwide since last year’s historic event – the 2017 March on Main.
Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski was one of this morning’s speakers.
“It’s time for everything to end when it comes to oppression,” Mayor Biskupski told News4Utah. “We are a family of one, we are all human and it is time that we respect one another and allow for each individual to rise up and become who they really are and can be.”
At least a thousand people attended the rally, including many actors and filmmakers in town for the Sundance Film Festival.
