WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4 News) – Utah Representative Ben McAdams has been assigned to the House Financial Services committee. This is one of the four exclusive committees in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The committee has jurisdiction over banking, insurance, housing, securities, and exchanges. McAdams said he is “excited to be in a prime position to help both the Utah economy and Utah consumers.”
McAdams isn’t new to the financial services world. During his time as Salt Lake County mayor and a Utah State Senator, McAdams worked with Utah’s financial communities. Before his public service, he worked as an attorney helping companies comply with securities regulations. He even taught Securities Regulations while a student at the University of Utah Law School.
