SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) – Congress heads back to Washington this week to get back to work. Utah Representative Chris Stewart joined Inside Utah Politics to weigh in on some of the pressing issues that need to be addressed.
In a sit down interview with Chief Political Correspondent Glen Mills, Rep. Stewart discussed how congress should respond to Hurricane Harvey, Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke’s monument review report, President Donald Trump’s response to North Korea’s missile launch over Japan and the president’s strategy in Afghanistan.
When asked for his thoughts on Staff Sgt. Aaron Butler, the Utah soldier killed in Afghanistan, Rep. Stewart said “Let’s just recognize that these soldiers, men and women are volunteers who have said I will go out and defend American security, I will try to make the world a safer place. God bless them for doing that.”
