WEST VALLEY CITY (ABC4 Utah) – Neighbors called firefighters at 5:45 Friday morning after seeing smoke billowing out of a home.
Responders were able to put out the fire quickly and no one was injured, but police and firefighters still have not located the family living inside.
The homeowner believes the family renting the home is on vacation. A neighbor said he last saw them Wednesday night.
The WVC Fire Chief estimates the cost of the blaze to be between $30-40,000. Fire damage is contained in the kitchen but there is smoke damage throughout the home. Investigators have not determined the cause of the blaze.
